The Homecoming Parade is an annual tradition that features the KSU Marching Owls leading a procession of floats, banners, decorated vehicles, the Homecoming Court, and in some years, a bath tub. This year, the parade will be Saturday, October 12th, and will start approximately three and half hours before kickoff for the Homecoming football game.

The route for the 2019 Homecoming Parade will start from KSU Center down Busbee Drive taking a right on George Busbee Pkwy and a left on Big Shanty Road, ending at the Perch (Teal Lot).

For guest who are parking for the football game, all of the lots adjacent to the stadium will be convenient for viewing the parade along Busbee Pkwy (Fanzone) or down Busbee Dr. If you are not parking in one of the stadium lots for the football game, the best viewing area would be down Big Shanty between the intersection with Busbee Pkwy and the Perch (local parking available).

Groups that are interested in participating in the 2019 KSU Homecoming Parade will need to fill out a Participation Form by Sunday, September 29th at 5:00pm. For questions about participating in the parade or the form, please contact either Ron Lunk ( or Tonya Baker McPherson (
